Paula Dornan es una artista multidisciplinaria centrada en fotografía y artes mixtas. Graduada en Bellas Artes por la Universidad Complutense de Madrid, obtuvo el máster en Fotografía Profesional en el IED (2023).
Su trabajo se ve muy influenciado por las artes plásticas, tratando siempre de romper las barreras de la fotografía en busca de nuevos relatos y formas de representar su realidad. Así es como la artista ha ido explorando las técnicas fotográficas alternativas como cianotipia, film soup y antotipia, entre otras, hasta encontrarse con la clorotipia (fotografía en hojas). La naturaleza siempre había sido sujeto de admiración en sus proyectos fotográficos y es ahora cuando pasa a constituir la obra en sí misma.
En este camino, Paula se ha unido a la comunidad de fotógrafos del Experimental Photo Festival de Barcelona, dando conferencias y talleres sobre fotografía botánica y clorotipia en la últimas ediciones de 2022 y 2023. Además, pertenece a la red de fotógrafos "Creadores de Imágenes".

Paula Dornan is a multidisciplinary artist focused on photography and mixed media. She has graduated in Fine Arts from the Complutense University of Madrid and finished the IED Professional Photography Masters in 2023.
Her work is highly influenced by the plastic arts, always trying to break the barriers of photography in search of new stories and ways to represent her reality. In this direction, the artist has been exploring alternative photographic techniques such as cyanotype, film soup and anthotype, among others, until coming across with chlorophyll printing process (photography on sheets). Nature had always been the subject of admiration in his photographic projects and it is now that it becomes the work itself.
Along this path, Paula has joined the community of photographers of the Barcelona Experimental Photo Festival, giving lectures and workshops on botanical photography and chlorophyll printing process in the last editions of July 2022 and 2023. Also, she belongs to the photographers community "Creadores de Imágenes".
